'FBoy Island' Isn't Your Average Dating Show About Falling Hopelessly in Love

If you watch a lot of reality TV, you might think you've seen it all. But when it comes to FBoy Island, that certainly isn't the case. Having originally premiered on HBO Max, the reality dating show has since found a new home on The CW. It revolves around three women on a search for a lasting relationship, but there are some twists involved that set the show apart from others. So, how does FBoy Island work?

Let's just say that FBoy Island is what happens when you mix Bachelor in Paradise with Too Hot to Handle (without the rules) and add a little Love Island in there.

And when you see what these ladies have to contend with, you might be inclined to agree.

FBoy Island features three women who have their pick from more than 20 men. Sounds good, right? The only issue is that half of those men are self-proclaimed Fboys and the other half are "nice guys" who are here for a real relationship. It's up to the women to suss out which guy is which

If they choose a nice guy and end the season with one of the men who wants a committed relationship, then all is well and they walk away from the show with a shared $100,000 prize.

If one or more of the women choose an Fboy in the end, then he can either split the money or take the entire $100,000 for himself and head back to the real world of Instagram gym selfies and dating apps. In every episode, the women get to date one guy each and get to know them. However, they also get to nominate any two men at the end of an episode and choose who gets eliminated. The man who gets eliminated then reveals if he was a nice guy or an Fboy.

In Season 1, Sarah chose Garrett, who turned out to be one of the Fboys in disguise as a nice guy.

He told her he planned to leave with the entire $100,000 prize for himself and he also planned to go back to his Fboy ways. But host Nikki Glaser informed him in a wild twist that he would leave the show empty-handed and instead have to donate the prize money to a charity of Sarah's choice.

Season 2 of the series also had some major bombshells up until the end. Throughout the season, competitors from Season 1 made a comeback to try and find love (or win big) again with a new set of ladies. In the end, Season 2 bachelorette Tamaris Sepulveda took the jaw-dropping option of choosing no man and keeping the $100,000 prize for herself.

Season 3, which premiered on Oct. 16, continues keeping up the drama. With more returning men from Season 2 and even some reality show veterans, the latest installment sees some of the most intense sparks fly.
