The Number of 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' Couples Still Together Today Is Pretty Depressing

We've been watching folks fall in love on The Bachelor since it premiered in 2002, but when it comes to how many couples have survived since filming the ABC reality dating show, the number is depressingly low.

So, how many couples from The Bachelor are actually still together? And what about The Bachelorette?

There are just 11 couples — not counting Bachelor in Paradise — who have proved haters wrong and shown the world that you can find love on reality TV.

Chances are slim, but not impossible. So, who are the lucky couples?

First, we'll start with The Bachelor...

Although Jason and Molly did not get engaged during a Bachelor finale, we're going to include them because their long marriage is pretty inspiring. Not only did Jason dump his first pick and fan favorite, Melissa Rycroft, for Molly on live TV, but the couple tied the knot on national television in 2010, too.

Today, Jason and Molly are the proud parents of their daughter, Riley Ann, and Jason's son from a previous marriage, Ty.

Sean and Catherine have not only beaten the odds and stayed together since getting engaged in 2013 and married in 2014, but the couple are now the proud parents of three kids — Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia — and have started a few successful businesses together as well.

Just like Jason Mesnick, Arie also dumped his first pick — Becca Kufrin — and went back with his runner-up, Lauren.

So far, it seems that Arie made the right decision. Not only did Arie and Lauren tie the knot in 2019, but they also welcomed daughter Alessi just a few months after their Hawaiian nuptials. In June 2021, Lauren gave birth to twins Lux and Senna.

Don't feel too bad for Becca, though. She found love with Thomas Jacobs on Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise.

During the Season 25 finale, Matt James did not propose to Rachael Kirkconnell. Instead, the two began a dating relationship off-screen.

However, Matt revealed on After the Final Rose that he ended their relationship after Rachael's racially insensitive social media posts came to light. Nevertheless, the pair reconciled in April 2021, and their romance continues to flourish today.

Not only did Zack and Kaity get engaged in the finale episode, but they announced on the After the Final Rose special that they were moving in together and discussing wedding dates. These two are happily going strong today!

Bachelor fans tuned in to watch 72-year-old Gerry Turner's journey to find love in the first season of The Golden Bachelor. Theresa Nist, a financial service professional from New Jersey, scored the first one-on-one date of the show. The pair fell for each other, and Gerry ended up proposing during the finale. They got married during a live television event on Jan. 4, 2024.

All season long, we watched promos of Joey Graziadei crying near the ocean in Tulum. It left us wondering whether he would indeed find his person, or if his greatest fear would be realized and his love wouldn't be reciprocated. During the finale, we learned that his tears came after saying goodbye to runner-up Daisy Kent, who told Joey that she knew she wasn't his pick.

After he and Daisy parted ways, Joey got his fairy-tale ending. He proposed to Kelsey Anderson and she said yes. They were still together at the After the Final Rose Special. Joey gushed about his relationship with Kelsey, saying, "She is a light. I don't know how I'm going to have a boring day of life with her by my side."

But what about The Bachelorette? How many of those couples are still together?

The very first season of The Bachelorette proved to be a success since Trista Rehn left the series engaged to firefighter Ryan Sutter. The two were married on national TV in December of 2003.

In July 2007, Trista and Ryan welcomed their first child, a son named Maxwell Alston. Then, in April 2009, the couple welcomed a daughter named Blakesley Grace. Honestly, they are our #couplegoals and #parentgoals.

In the Season 9 finale of The Bachelorette, lead Desiree Hartsock ended her journey engaged to Chris Siegfried.

The pair tied the knot in January 2015 and expanded their family in October 2016 with the birth of their first child, son Asher Wrigley. According to People, Desiree gave birth to their second son, Zander Cruz, in January 2019.

Once JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers met on the first night of The Bachelorette, viewers knew they were endgame. The pair got engaged during the Season 12 finale and tied the knot nearly six years later in May 2022.

"It sounds cliché, but I really am marrying my best friend," JoJo told People at the time. "Everything that's happened in our relationship has only made us stronger. And we just feel so lucky."

She added that she can't wait to start the next chapter of their life together.

Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko got engaged in the finale, and they were still going strong by the time the After the Rose special aired — with Charity even referring to her Dotun as her "future baby daddy." These two are together and thriving today, and we can't wait to see what happens next for them.
