Initially, Kenya was suspended "indefinitely" by Bravo for allegedly showing lewd photos of her co-star Brittany Eady.

For nearly a decade, actress and reality star Kenya Moore twirled in multiple Real Housewives of Atlanta scenes as one of the Bravo show’s longtime peach holders. After joining in 2012, Kenya became responsible for some of the show’s most memorable moments, from her widely discussed relationships to her physical and verbal altercations with co-stars like Porsha Williams, NeNe Leakes, and Sheree Whitfield.
Throughout the years, Kenya proved that she’s not afraid to tussle on camera. But with several seasons under her belt, rumors began swirling in June 2024 about the network ending its relationship with the pageant queen.
Here's what to know.
Did Kenya Moore get fired from ‘RHOA?’
RHOA began filming Season 16 in May 2024. The following June, Kenya brought the show’s cameras along to film the opening of her salon, Kenya Moore Hair Spa. The event included the Housewives star’s loved ones and supporters and the Season 16 cast.
Online blog Media Takeout was the first to report that Kenya’s event soon became negative. The drama escalated between Kenya and RHOA Season 16 newbie Brittany Eady at the opening. The former Miss USA reportedly shared “very explicit and graphic images" of Brittany, including one of a photoshopped penis next to one of Brittany’s promotional photos.
In June 2024, YouTube vlogger Michelle “ATLien” Brown reported that Kenya’s behavior resulted in her being suspended “indefinitely” from filming for the rest of the season. A source shared with Entertainment Tonight that the reason for the suspension was due to Kenya “allegedly depicting Brittany performing a sexual act at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, from images allegedly found online.”
The source also stated that the “network is still reviewing the content Kenya displayed during filming."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Britt responded to Kenya’s actions on Instagram: "It’s never a good feeling being targeted or HAZED BY SOMEONE I thought would embrace me into a new circle that I never met.” Kenya also shared her side of the story on social media and denied wrongdoing.
“I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday, June 8. “I have always been vindicated. I can’t talk about STORY even with people planting fake news.”
Brittany reportedly continued filming with her and Kenya’s other co-stars — Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Shamea Morton, Drew Sidora, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.
Additionally, a source confirmed the insurance agent never threatened Kenya with a gun, which was leaked in Media Takeout’s report of the fight.
On Friday, June 14, the same day news of her suspension broke, Kenya took to Instagram Live to update her fans as much as possible.
Though Kenya didn’t directly mention the fight or the suspension, she said she wasn’t leaving the show entirely.
“You will be seeing me,” she said. “I’m not going anywhere despite all this stuff.”
However, on June 25, 2024, Deadline reported that Kenya had indeed been fired from the franchise.
"You are the best fans anyone could ever ask for. And I love you all so very much," Kenya tweeted the following day.
"Always and forever," she added. She also included the hashtag #TEAMTWIRLFOREVER.
Previously, Kenya Moore temporarily quit ‘RHOA’ in 2017.
Similar to NeNe and Sheree, Kenya temporarily turned in her peach in 2017. At the time, Kenya had recently married restauranteur Marc Daly and became pregnant with their daughter, Brooklyn Daly, shortly after that.
As Kenya’s life changed, Bravo seemingly didn’t support her choice to keep her marriage away from the cameras. According to sources, Bravo and Kenya were in a “messy” battle before deciding to part ways.
“Everyone wanted to have Kenya back, but they wanted to have the old Kenya back — the one who isn’t afraid of the cameras,” a source shared with People in July 2018. “You can’t have secrets and be on reality TV. Especially when other Housewives are showing all of their lives — the good, bad, and the ugly. They need to see your life.”
Kenya also made similar comments when she appeared on former RHOA EP Carlos King’s podcast, Reality With the King. During the two-part podcast that aired in August 2023, Carlos asked Kenya if she felt she was “punished” for marrying Marc off of the show, to which she said, “Of course.” She claimed the network began treating her unfairly after the marriage was made public and denied her a special to document her pregnancy journey.
“I wanted a spinoff with my child, having a baby, and I was denied that, and you know why.”
Even though she wasn’t a Housewife at the time, Kenya appeared in one episode of RHOA Season 11. During the finale, she came to Cynthia Bailey’s Seagrams Peach Bellini event without NeNe’s approval. The argument affected NeNe and Cynthia’s relationship since NeNe and Kenya were in a social media war off-camera.
Kenya then returned for Season 12.
