After Kim Kardashian co-starred in Season 12 of American Horror Story, creator Ryan Murphy wasn't done with her. Because in the May 30 episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, we see Kim meet with the AHS co-creator to discuss her future on television. Which is, just to be clear, incredibly bright. And no, we aren't talking about her role as a reality TV star.
Ryan explains to Kim that he has another show that she would be perfect for, about a divorce lawyer in Los Angeles who works with an all-female law firm. But what is Kim's new show about a divorce lawyer, and is it actually happening? According to Ryan, it's a done deal if Kim is on board, and she seems to be ready to continue to prove herself as a serious actor.
What is Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer show?
In December 2023, Deadline announced the untitled procedural lawyer drama that is coming to Hulu. According to the outlet, the series features writers from both AHS and Ryan's other FX/Hulu powerhouse drama Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans. But as of right now, it's not totally clear when the show, which is currently titled All’s Fair, will premiere on Hulu.
We do know, however, that Halle Berry and Glenn Close are set to star alongside Kim in the legal drama, per Variety and both will serve as executive producers. Naturally, Halle will produce under HalleHolly while Glenn will produce under her Trillium Productions banner.
When Kim, Ryan, and Kim's mom-ager Kris Jenner discuss the offer on The Kardashians, Ryan doesn't share any other information in regards to filing or premiere dates. He does, however, assure Kim that she can work with a schedule that suits her needs as a busy mom. And with Kim's plate consistently full, that's kind of a big deal.
Kim Kardashian takes the bar exam in real life in 2025.
By the time Kim stars in her legal drama on Hulu, she might finally be an attorney in real life. She says on The Kardashians that she will take the bar exam in 2025. Given that she discussed the show opportunity with Ryan around October 2023 and filming hadn't yet connected at that time, the timing of Kim's real life bar exam could line up with the series.
She even jokes on The Kardashians that she "not only plays one," but she is one in real life, in reference to being a lawyer. She did speak on that at the 2023 Time100 Summit.
"I would be just as happy being an attorney full time," Kim said. "The journey opened up my eyes to so much. It gets overwhelming because there's so much to be done."
If Kim practices law after she passes the bar exam, though, she will have yet another thing to add to her already busy schedule.
And in the meantime, watch The Kardashians on Thursdays on Hulu.
