Where Are the 'Love Is Blind' Season 1 Couples Now? We Have an Update

Season 1 of Love Is Blind on Netflix paved the way for a group of hopeful singles to meet their person in a truly unorthodox way. Men and women dated, sight unseen, in pods separated by an opaque screen. With only their personalities to go on, the show sought to answer that age old question: Is love blind? The first season dropped in February 2020 and since then, changes have swept through those who ended up together like a cool breeze on a warm day. Let's check in with the original couples.

Back in 2022, when Distractify spoke exclusively with host Nick Lachey, we learned just what the allure is for singles to sign up for Love Is Blind versus other reality dating shows.

"Love Is Blind is such a unique take on the dating experience and how to find another person on an emotional level," Nick shared with us. "It gives people that lasting foundation for a relationship to grow. And the more people see the process working, the more they are willing to invest themselves. We have two couples from Season 1 who are happily married to this day. So now that the experiment has been proven, I think having to sell that to a new cast is a little easier."

Makes sense to us! OK, now on to the Season 1 couples and what they're all up to today...

Giannina and Damian had a ton of ups and downs during and after Love Is Blind Season 1. Following a disastrous wedding ceremony which didn't result in Damian following through with his promise to marry Giannina, they took a break. Then, during the Love Is Blind: After the Altar reunion special, they revealed they were still trying to work things out. By the end of the reunion, however, it looked like Giannina was finally done with the relationship.

Since their relationship ended, Giannina has moved on with former Bachelorette contestant Blake Horstmann. The couple is engaged and living in Colorado with their adorable dog, but soon a baby will make four. The happy couple popped by the Love is Blind Season 6 reunion where Giannina said she is waiting to meet their son before deciding on a name.

In February 2023, Damian announced he was starting an OnlyFans. He has also been on Perfect Match as well as Miss/Match, and appears to still be single.

Lauren and Cameron are easy fan favorites from Season 1. They were a solid couple from the beginning. And they're still together. She even officially hyphenated her last name on Instagram to show fans how serious she is about her marriage. Cameron and Lauren wrote a book together called Leap of Faith about their experience and they also have a vlog called Hanging With the Hamiltons.

Lauren also hosted the MTV dating show miniseries Match Me If You Can. And in November 2023, Lauren and Cameron renewed their vows in Las Vegas for their fifth wedding anniversary. “I think that we've learned that when we're our best selves, it helps our marriage to be in its best state as well,” Lauren told Distractify in February 2024. “Continuing to cheer each other on, push each other to reach our dreams, and really support each other in that has really proven to help the health of us individually and our marriage."

Amber and Matt are also one of the couples still together after Love Is Blind Season 1, though their story is a lot more dramatic than Cameron and Lauren's. In Matt and Amber's case, they had a lot to contend with because fellow cast member Jessica Batten originally had a thing for Matt too. He liked her when they connected through a wall in the pods, but he ultimately chose Amber.

Today Amber and Matt are still married and, like Lauren and Cameron, celebrated their five-year anniversary in November 2023. Both their Instagram accounts are devoted to influencer posts or ad partnerships which means Amber probably sorted out her financial issues. We love to see it.

Although Jessica initially wanted to be with Matt, after he chose someone else, she agreed to a proposal from Mark Cuevas. But after they met, Jessica couldn't get over their 10-year age difference, and she eventually ended up leaving him at the altar. However, it was all for the best in the end. In September 2021, Jessica got engaged to podiatrist Ben McGrath. The couple eloped a year later and welcomed their first child on June 9, 2023. Jessica is also a stepmom to Ben's two children from a previous relationship.

Mark got married and had two children since Love Is Blind Season 1 ended. He seems to have left all of the show's drama in his past and even asked Matt Barnett to be one of his groomsmen.
