Where Is Patti Stanger From 'Millionaire Matchmaker' Now? She's Back With a New Show

There are times where we're not sure what we did or how we survived before we had demand TV. It doesn't make sense how we passed the time long before reality TV was a thing and we could lay in bed and binge watch whole seasons and live vicariously through their lives which are always more interesting than our own.

Think about how many shows and seasons we've watched over the years – some more memorable than others. One question we do have is: what happened to the Millionaire Matchmaker? Where is Patti Stanger now?

First, let's back up a bit.

The Millionaire Matchmaker was a reality TV show that aired on Bravo from 2008 to 2015 and was hosted by Patti Stanger, the owner of a Beverly Hills dating service called the Millionaire's Club. Her business really is what it sounds like it would be: a dating service for millionaires.

Patti took her business and turned it into a reality TV show that people just ate up. The Millionaire Matchmaker was a dating show to help people meet and, hopefully, fall in love with people who are also millionaires. Patti essentially helped to match wealthy people with each other.

The show was one of those reality TV shows that we loved to watch to see a train wreck happen, never expecting anything really long-lasting to come out of it. Many of the couples didn't make it past the airing of their episode, but there were a few surprises.

In a 2013 interview with HuffPost, Patti coined her success rate for matchmaking around the 99 percent mark but said that it became different with the show. She explained that once the millionaires start to get more attention on social media due to their TV appearance, they're more likely to have wandering eyes and their relationship ends.

One couple, Mitch Berger and Bambi Lashell, did stay together and got married in 2013.

But after eight seasons, The Millionaire Matchmaker ended its run on Bravo. Patti tweeted at the time, "After eight seasons I've decided to leave @Bravotv Thank u 4 the great ride. Stay tuned for exciting news as I move to a wonderful new network!"

The news came after the show received come criticism when the matchmaker was called out and questioned over her vetting process for potential dates on the show. She was accused of setting up Kenya Moore, from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, with a man who was already married.

After leaving The Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti moved to WeTV and hosted a new show called Million Dollar Matchmaker where she served as the host and executive producer. The 2016 show was really similar to the original The Millionaire Matchmaker, but it only lasted two seasons.

Patti also began producing a string of Hallmark movies called Matchmaker Mysteries. She even had a cameo! There are currently three films in the series: A Killer Engagement (2019), A Fatal Romance (2020), and The Art of the Kill (2021). The delightful Danica McKellar of Wonder Years fame stars in the series.

Fast-forward to 2024, and Patti returned to TV (this time on the CW) with the April 12 premiere of Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker, which features Patti and Bachelor alum Nick Viall helping all kinds of folks find love — not just the super-rich ones.

When asked how this show differs from the one that made her a household name, Patti told Business Insider ahead of the premiere: "This show is about healing. It's like a therapy show. I'm not a therapist, per se — I'm more of a date coach/matchmaker. ... But it's more about breaking your patterns, your attachments in love, your narcissism — which is a huge problem online in the community as well as in dating."

As for Patti's own dating life, we got some insight when she told the outlet that her most recent relationship had lasted for about a year, but the guy broke up with her via text by telling her he was too intimidated by all of her success.

"We met on Tinder, believe it or not. But he's in another relationship now with a girl that doesn't make money. So it's better for him in his mind. But I didn't know that at the time," she said.

"A lot of times, you're dating someone and they're not speaking up — whether you're male, female, gay, straight — and telling you what's bothering them because they're embarrassed," she added. "A lot of it's communication."
