The Sandman
The Netflix original series The Sandman is based on the DC comic series of the same name by Neil Gaiman (American Gods, Good Omens, Coraline). The series follows Morpheus (The Lord of Dreams), as he works to rebuild his empire following a centuries-long capture by an amateur sorcerer.
Morpheus is one of the seven "Endless" beings. His siblings are Destiny, Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium, and Destruction. The comic book series has long been praised for its seamless blending of fantasy, history, biblical references, and horror elements.
