Dating is hard enough, but imagine if your those in your dating pool spoke a completely different language. Would it really be possible to build a genuine connection with them?

Hosted by Sangia Patel, TLC’s newest reality dating show, Love & Translation, follows three American men — Tripp Bromley, Kahlil Haughton, and Dylan Hodge — who try to answer the question, “Can love transcend language?” Throughout the series, these eligible bachelors spend several days in a remote villa in the Dominican Republic, mixing and mingling with 12 single women who all speak a foreign language and are not fluent in English.

So far, there's been a lot of awkwardness and communication mishaps—especially because none of the singles are allowed to use online translators. And it looks like the episode premiering on Sunday, March 24, has more misunderstandings and possibly some hurt feelings. Ahead of the new episode, Distractify obtained an exclusive from the episode in which Yam Lazcano tells Dylan how she really feels about him.

Yam shares her feelings for Dylan in a love letter.

In a never-before-seen clip from Sunday's episode, Yam Lascano from Mexico tells Florida resident Dylan how she feels about him through a love letter she wrote using a dictionary.

In the letter, written on red stationery, she wrote: "My love for you is true. I never, never want to play with you. You have a place very important in my heart." She even drew some hearts in the letter.

After finishing reading the letter, Dylan is silent, but it doesn't look like a good silence. The clip then cuts to a scene where Yam is holding her hands over her face as if she were crying.

At 29 years old, Yam is one of the older participants on the show. She is eight years older than Dylan, which could definitely create an additional obstacle in addition to the language barrier.

Dylan, who dubs himself a "mama’s boy," spent some of his childhood in Belize, where his mother was from. In an exclusive interview with Distractify, he told us that Love & Translation became possible while traveling to Ibiza. He said that while on a trip, he thought to himself, “I really would like to meet foreign women,” due to his love of "experiencing culture."

That said, is Dylan still interested in connecting with foreign women now that he's getting the chance to explore national TV? We'll just have to find out.

Love & Translation airs on TLC on Sundays at 11 p.m. and streams the next day on Max.
